Responses in regard to Montez Viyah’s original post in “quotation box” :
A Discussion for the Scholars of the Torah & a reminder to those who have forgotten – I had to remember why Melchizedek was so important. And “Christ” speaks of this while he was here. This is very important when we talk about what is “law” and what isn’t and what is a “sin” and what isn’t. Christ has made a new covenant of laws for us: “He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant–not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”-IICor.2:6 I reread all of Hebrews Ch. 5-7 “IF perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.” (Heb. 7:11,12)
“I’ve been studying Melchizedek and have been shown many revelations, we are not under Torah Law anymore, we are under the COVENANT fidelity of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob or “Royal Torah” (10 commandments) since we are in the body of Messiah… our forefathers didn’t need the Torah laws of Moses before Moses’ time, actually the only reason the Most High gave the Israelites the Torah thru Moses was because of the golden calf they made and worshipped while Moses was receiving the ten commandments from the Most High, when Mashyach Ben Yosef (Messiah) was killed we were released from the Levitical laws and returned back to the “Covenant Fidelity” or 10 commandments, the Most High made a covenant with Abraham to be our Elohim if only we keep the Commandments, if the Israelites would’ve never made the calf then they wouldn’t have needed the Levitical laws, I’ll be posting more about this including scripture to back my findings, I just wanted to put this out there for our Brethren so you all can look into this yourselves, The “Book of the Law” is not the same as the “Covenant” our Jewish slave masters and the sellout elders of these “Israelite camps” want us to believe they are one and the same so we can waste our time trying to keep laws of high priests instead of simply keeping his commandments, if you want to be a “Zedek” or “high priest” then you are to keep the levitical laws of Moses, but when scripture says “faith without works is dead” it’s not referring to the laws as “works” it’s referring to healing our people and rebuking and defeating demons, in other words if you take on the responsibility of High Priest then simply worshipping our Father and keeping the Levitical laws is “Faith” and using the two edged sword of our Hebrew tongue to rebuke demons and cause them to flee or be trapped is “works” Shalawam loved ones, please don’t try to say I’m off if you haven’t researched “Melchizedek” and expect me to waste my time edifying you”
I can rightly see where the ach is coming from in his statements. Thawadah for your patience.
The order of Malkitsedeq is what?
“18 And Malkitsedeq SOVEREIGN (meaning king) of Shalem brought out bread and wine. Now he was the PRIEST of the Most High El. 19 And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram of the Most High El, Possessor of the heavens and earth” – Genesis 14:18-19
Malkitsedeq is to mean king and High-priest. When Hamashiyach laid His life down on behalf of sinful Israel, He Himself became the final King and High-preist that we will see.
“4 And no one obtains this esteem FOR HIMSELF, but he who is CALLED by Elohim, even as Aharon also was. 5 So also Hamashiyach DID NOT extol HIMSELF to become High Priest, but it was He who SAID TO HIM, “You are My Son, today I have brought You forth.”
6 As He also says in another place, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Malkitsedeq,” 7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His reverent fear, 8 though being a Son, He learned obedi-ence by what He suffered.”
And having been perfected, He becamethe Causer of everlasting deliverance to allthose obeying Him, 10 having been designated by Elohim aHigh Priest “according to the order of Malkitsedeq,” – Hebrews 5:4-10
“7 “I inscribe for a law: Yahuwah has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have brought You forth.” – Psalm 2:7
“Yahuwah said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” 2 Yahuwah sends Your mighty sceptre out of Tsiyon. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
3 Your people volunteer in the day of Your might, In the splendours of set-apartness! From the womb, from the morning, You have the dew of Your youth! 4Yahuwah has sworn and does not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Malkitsedeq.” – Psalm 110:1-4
What I would like to add to this discussion is simply this:
Yahushua Himself told us that He came to ESTABLISH the Torah, and NOT to get rid of it.
“17 “Do NOT THINK that I came to DESTROY theTorah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete 18“For truly, I say to you, till the HEAVEN and THE EARTH PASS AWAY, one jot or one tit-tle shall by NOMEANS pass from the TORAH till all be done.
19 “Whoever, then, BREAKS one of the LEAST of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called LEAST in the reign of the heavens; but whoever DOES and TEACHES them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.” – Matthew 5:17-19
If the Torah is done away with, according to the order of Malkitsedeq, what in the world is Hamashiyach talking about then?
The Levitical Priesthood was founded in BLOOD SACRIFICE to atone for the transgressions of Israel before the manifestation of Hamashiyach.
“12 “Now the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls; then OFFER the one for a SIN offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahuwah, to make ATONEMENT for the Levites.” – Numbers 8:12
“5 “The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to Yahuwah, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to THE PRIEST, and sacrifice them as sacrifices OF PEACE offerings to Yahuwah.” – Leviticus 17:5
The blood was taken from the offered rams, lambs, oxen, etc., who were to serve as sacrifices for the children of Israel, because Hamashiyach hadn’t arrived on the scene yet in the PHYSICAL FLESH.
The Levitical Priesthood was to serve as a “SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME” i.e. pertaining to Hamashiyach becoming the FINAL BLOOD SACRIFICE THAT ISRAEL WOULD NEED.
“3 And you, being dead in your tres-passes and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having blotted out the certificate of debt against us – by the dogmas – which stood against us. And HE has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the stake.
15 Having STRIPPED the principalities and the authorities, He made a public display of them, having prevailed over them in it. 16 Let no one therefore judge you in EATING or in DRINKING, or in respect of a FESTIVAL or a NEW MOON or SHABBATS – 17 which are A SHADOW of what is to come– but the Body of Hamashiyach.” – Colossians 2:13-17
The Torah STILL stands. The Torah is the instruction of Yahuwah, aka Hamshiyach HIMSELF!!!
We know that the Torah is still established because Hamashiyach states:
“19 “Whoever, then, BREAKS one of the LEAST of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called LEAST in the reign of the heavens;…” – Matthew 5:19
When we talk about giving a bill of divorcement or the putting away of one’s wife , is that particular clause of Torah listed in the Ten Commandments, aka “Royal Law”?
No it is not. What is listed in the Torah is that we should not commit adultery, and putting your wife away, or your husband away, causing them to possibly marry another; would effectively cause the person marrying them to commit adultery (Mark 10:11-12 and Matthew 19:8-9).
You may not be convinced yet, so let’s look at the eating of clean and unclean foods. Are we to eat unclean foods, just because the Ten Commandments do not state that we can or that we cannot?
No. Many people lost THEIR LIVES because they REFUSED to eat the swine (2 Maccabees 7). All of the foods which are acceptable and sanctified (set-apart) by Yahuwah are the clean foods listed in the book Leviticus 11.
What we have to ultimately focus on is the Truth of the matter that no MATTER HOW HARD we try to keep Torah, we will NEVER be able to keep every aspect of it perfectly. We will therefore ALWAYS need a propitiation for OUR transgressions.
Hamashiyach was the FINAL SACRIFICE. It is not our personal keeping of Torah that will Save us. You are very correct in stating that the non-Messianic so-called Torah keepers will have a difficult time, because they still believe that they can keep the Torah PERFECTLY without the need of the SACRIFICE of Hamashiyach; just like the Pharisees and Scribes falsely thought.
Furthermore, the Levitical Priesthood was disbanded once we entered into captivity, so, who ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH is supposed to accept the sacrifice on our behalf in this PRESENT day, every time that we transgress Torah?
The answer is no one. The Lamb (Hamashiyach) slain before the FOUNDATION of the earth is the ONLY ONE capable of such a feat and HE HAS ACHIEVED HIS PURPOSE in this area.
“18 knowing that you were REDEEMED from your futile way of life INHERITED from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold, 19 but with the precious BLOOD of Hamashiyach, as of a LAMB unblemished and spotless, 20 FOREKNOWN, indeed, before the founda-tion of the world, but MANIFESTED in these last times for your sakes,” – 1 Peter 1:18-20
“8 And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the FOUNDATION of the world shall worship him.” – Revelation 13:8
This is why the NEW BLOOD COVENANT was published/created through Hamashiyach so that Israel would no longer NEED to depend on men (Levitical Priests) to make atonement for them through the sacrifice of animals. The sacrifice of animals is synonymous with self-righteousness, i.e. feeling like you can transgress the Torah and make payments on BEHALF OF YOURSELF. This is no longer the case. Many of our people have thus erred from the testimony and belief of Hamashiyach due to their own self-righteousness, believing that they can atone for the transgressions that they commit themselves.
We MUSN’T rely on OUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS if we are to receive the Salvation of Yahuwah; this is what the Order of Malkitsedeq is all about; Depending upon and relying on our KING of KINGS, who is both High Priest AND King, for the Salvation that He alone can give to us!
Please share this with the ach, mashpachaa, as I would like to continue building upon this subject. Thawadah. Much love!!!
