“The Spirit Within is Much Greater than Ourselves” by C.Ellis

Why is that The Most High God, the God of the Hebrews (Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob) no longer speaks to us, we descendants of the Hebrew nation? -Let alone a regular human citizen of Earth?  Right. God stopped speaking directly to Humans, and WHY? Why is it that we no longer hear a voice, we see no burning bush, nor do Angels declare themselves to us in the name of The Most High?

 

Regardless of what religion one has or what walk he or she is in, neither has their gods spoke to them either! And, if a “god” has spoken to them, and did not come to them in the Name of the Most High (or at least revealed who he is to them) how do we know that spirit is of The Most High???

These are the many questions that are asked of men and woman alike within and without “faith.”  But I have come to a conclusion that those who are “Believers” may take comfort in, and for those who are not of belief can grasp a hold of for now.  Before  I continue on this revelation, I shall go into the Scriptures, and for those of you who are stumped by the fact that I start in the New Testament first, please, bear with me for a few moments, a few paragraphs.

When the Mashiyach, Yahushua (who is “Christ”) tells his disciples he will leave, they are filled with so much sadness, this is what he tells them and this is what is written in John 14:14-17 KJV:

 

“If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.  If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; [It is] the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Now, remember that verse, we will come back to that later.

I want to tell you about an experience I’ve had this past year with a little book I read which was so riveting and emotionally straining and confusing for me as I was just coming back into the messianic faith:  It is called _Conversations with God_ and immediately the title is enough to have your ears perk up and your conscience seize.  “How does one converse with a god which has stopped speaking to us???” was MY question.  A question which plagued me when I walked away from my faith a long time ago.  But soon after reading that book, and after allowing myself full spiritual access to a World beyond my flesh, I’ve come to answer my own question and possibly the same question of those who have also found a hard time grasping a level of “belief.”  Not going to get into details about that book as the conclusion is in its title, but how I felt about the book’s concept made all the difference.  An interest of wonder sparked within me and I began this quest to find out how we too can have “conversations” with The Most High.

Now, enough of my own personal thoughts…(I promise, this will all tie in together shortly).  Let’s talk about you at this moment right now.  YOU vs. the Benefits Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and many others had during their time:

How do you describe the part of yourself which eradicates negative thoughts, does a good deed, and even pushes you to be better, work harder on yourself to be good, and craves to do something empowering for another human being? What do you call that???  For a very long time, I (and most others in the personal development world) called that spirit within you, your “Higher Self.”  Which is true, it is. The Most High, Yahuwah put that spirit there (afterall, you are a spiritual existence in a bounded vessel that is the human body). This “Higher Self” is the part of you that is not your ego, but the opposite; the side of you that knows true love and fights for it…it’s the part of you that wants no harm to come to any living creature on this Earth.  BUT is that ALL IT is? Could it be that this “Higher Spirit” is only a fragment of what we once was?  Let’s go to The Book of Enoch briefly because this goes hand-in-hand with the Mashiyach (Messiah) who walked among us here on Earth.  And I have a feeling that I will revisit this writing in the near future to add in the necessary points I will learn in my future studies.

The Book of Enoch:  Between Enoch’s dream spells, he was taken to and from Earth and the clouds to be escorted throughout the World and the Heavens by the Holy Angels or  the High 4 “Arch-Angels.”  Amongst the Heavens where there were 10,000 upon 10,000 who dwelled, he noticed, one Being which was not like the others, not like the Angels which surrounded the Throne of The Most High, but a Being who had a face like Man:

CHAPTER XLVI. v. 1-4

And there I saw One who had a head of days,
And His head was white like wool,
And with Him was another being whose countenance had the appearance of a man,
And his face was full of graciousness, like one of the holy angels. And I asked the angel who went with me and showed me all the hidden things, concerning that Son of Man, who he was, and whence he was, (and) why he went with the Head of Days? And he answered and said unto me:This is the son of Man who hath righteousness, With whom dwelleth righteousness,
And who revealeth all the treasures of that which is hidden,

Because the Lord of Spirits hath chosen him,
And whose lot hath the pre-eminence before the Lord of Spirits in uprightness for ever.

And this Son of Man whom thou hast seen
Shall †raise up† the kings and the mighty from their seats,
[And the strong from their thrones]

And shall loosen the reins of the strong,

And break the teeth of the sinners.

Who does that sound like? Now, those who are non-messianic, you tell me how do we fulfill ALL of the Laws of the Old testament and not be stoned to death or die on the spot like it says in Leviticus?  The answer is in Yahushua who lived then took the bullet for us so we didn’t have to: “For the wages of sin is Death…”[Rom. 6:23].  This Mashiyach didn’t have any superhuman powers, he didn’t have the look or the dress of a king, he was of the common man. He was a Hebrew Israelite just like the rest of his brothers and sisters, teaching his friends who followed him how to find and lead other Hebrew Israelites:

 

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.” (John 15:12-13)

 

Sounds more like a guy you can relate to, right?  Wouldn’t it be easier to talk with someone like him?  Now imagine a concept of speaking with a friend who told you he came to save his fellow tribe members from the tyranny of the world and themselves… He was a man sent for us to know about ourselves, aligned with a Higher God, and to bring us out of the dangers of what the Fallen had unleashed onto this world.  He was sent, then he went back to where he was; BUT when he went away, he left behind a “Comforter” to dwell within us. Because HE was the only one who walked earth who could speak to The Most High God (after Abraham’s spiritual seed wandered away and the Kingdoms were dispersed and made captives).  His job on earth was Not to proclaim he was The Most High, but to bring back the lost Children of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob (who could not speak to God and did not speak with God any longer) and to share with them that Divinity is Within: Because this World has been perpetuated with so much darkness and because we are the “Chosen ones” who have walked away from faith, we are no longer allowed the luxury of a “conversation with God” –we cannot Call Out to The Most High and expect to hear his voice.  He hears us, but he has sent The Son of Man to intervene.

Back to Yahushua sending us his Spirit: “And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever…” Why did he say, “another”? Makes perfect sense since we already have a good spirit within us.  This second spirit contains ALL that is of  The Most High. You, Hebrew Israelite, You are special. John chapter 14:14-17 boldly states: “[It is] the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him…”

You are NOT of the World. You are not like everyone else, and ONLY YOU can receive Ruach (The Spirit; the wind, the breath of The Most High God). Only YOU have the power of communication with The Most High. Don’t be discouraged if you cannot feel him speaking with you. You have the power to do so. You must accept Yahushua as the Messiah, your Savior in order for Ruach to USE YOU to spread TRUTH.

Everyday we speak with our spirit within whether we are conscious of it or not.  But when we speak to it in the name of Yahushua who is the one who has given us this Gift, He is the one who leads us back:  He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life  for us to reach The Most High God: A way where we must abandon this opposite of ego we try to call a spirit of The Most High but are only remnants of a greater power (which was once a part of us), but walk FULLY in the Spirit of The Son of Man who has given us complete access to The Most High.

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. . . And when he (The Comforter) is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement of sin, because they believe not on me…”John 16:7-9

The whole world is not doomed to perish just because Ruach is not with them. But because you are in the world, you have the power to bring back those brothers & sisters who are lost first; then to spread the knowledge of who you are and of who the Mashiyach is:
“Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Mat. 10:6 KJV)

To the Modern You who have gotten lost in your way…  Deny this Great Spirit within you, Deny THE FULL side of a “Higher self” which once was WHO YOU ARE, and you cut off the only connection you have to The Most High God.

Do not DENY your communicative access to The Most High.

What then happens when you no longer have the Comforter moving within you?   There is a void.  There are pieces left of what once was and you spend your life searching for the missing pieces by your own means and calling the broken remains your “Higher Self” which is the opposite of your Flesh (ego).  You search for it… you search within the love of others, the love of those who gave birth to you, from other human beings who are also with a void; and sadly, you also search for it within the faiths and beliefs of the “Gentiles” who cannot explain to you WHO YOU ARE nor do they have the answers you seek!  Truth comes from humility and surrender within.  Find your path which leads back to the Comforter where you can once again, make those connections to The Most High God again.  Remember who you once were, and that of what is inside of you is NOT ALL that was given to you BUT ALSO from the world. You will then know which is from the Most High when you come into Truth.

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will [show] you things to come.” John 16:13
